Flooring
EcoFloor - the brand name for the Eco Impact alternative to traditional hardwood flooring board. Our speciality, it is very durable, environmentally friendly and beautifully different. Unusually we offer a wide board as well as the conventional narrow board; they look so much better in larger rooms.

Size and Finish
The sizes are 15 x 92 x 920mm and 15 x 150 x 1850 mm. They are tongue and grooved on all four sides and are available finished or unfinished. The floor parquet tiles/panels (also tongue and grooved on four sides) are 15 x 500 x 500 mm. Floorboards and panels are available in two colours:

  • Natural (straw)
  • Caramel/toffee (often referred to as carbonised or caramelised. Steaming the bamboo produces this colour).

The Factory Applied UV cured finish, manufactured by Klumpp Gmbh, provides a very high surface wear resistant finish which is superior to finishes applied in situ. For high traffic commercial areas you can opt for the extremely scratch-resistant Aluminium Oxide flat finish.

The flooring boards are constructed by laminating together 5mm x 20mm strips or 'elements' of Kiln Dried Bamboo and the appearance of the surface depends on the way these strips are laminated together. The boards can be either 'plain-pressed' (horizontal) or 'side pressed' (vertical)

When the elements are laminated together so that the wider faces are facing upwards the flooring boards are made up of three layers and the bamboo 'node' pattern is clearly visible ('plain-pressed'). For a more traditional wood look the strips are laminated together on edge, so that the node pattern is less pronounced ('side-pressed'): if the unfinished toffee/caramel side-pressed' flooring is oiled and sealed it has a warm teak like appearance

Conventional Hardwood
EcoImpact is committed to promoting bamboo as a superior flooring material to conventional hardwood flooring board, not only because of its attractive appearance but also because of its hardness, durability, and stability and because of the very real contribution growing large quantities of fast growing bamboo makes to the health of our eco system.

However, we also recognise that for many people, bamboo panels simply does not fit with their design scheme as well as one of the traditional hardwoods, so we also offer large choice of hardwood in solid single, multi strip and ditto for engineered floor boards at attractive prices.

Choose from our good stock of oak, maple, cherry, beech, larch, kempas and walnut.
